Got Sight?

Got Sight?

Ever wonder why some of your friends just “don’t get” their need to even consider a relationship with Jesus? Want to know how to pray for the clear working of God in their hearts? These questions were explored in last Sunday’s exposition of Luke 11:33-36 on Spiritual Blindness, and are amplified in this week’s edition of Walking Further. Don’t miss it!

Daring God To Prove Himself: Part 2

As our small groups and individual believers walk further into the truths from last Sunday’s sermon using the Walking Further Study Notes, let me emphasize a key idea from the preaching passage: Greater knowledge creates greater accountability. It’s sobering but true that the more we know about the Gospel and yet refuse to act upon it's great truth, the more eternally accountable we will be. Pause and thank God right now for His great mercy in sending you the Gospel when He did and then prompting your heart to respond to His indescribable grace. Enjoy this weeks’ Walking Further, linked below.

Hi VFC family!

As I told you guys last Sunday in service, we’re authoring a new tool to help you take advantage of the content in each of the preaching messages offered here at Valley Fourth Church.

Each week, myself along with our ministry staff will create a summary of the content of the sermon along with exploratory questions to deepen everyone's thinking and understanding of the passage covered on the previous Sunday. This tool is called: Walking Further. It is designed primarily for our Home Groups that are now using the content from my preaching messages as the material for their study in the Word of God together. However, I know that many of you would like to use this tool to further expand your personal study, so we are offering it church-wide.

How are we going to do that? Each week on the Wednesday following the Sunday that I preach a particular message, the Walking Further notes and questions will be published on our church website (on the blog page) and on our Facebook page.

I hope that you come to enjoy Walking Further as a key part of your exploration of God’s amazing Word! Keep in mind that this is a new tool and that it is a work in progress, so you can only expect it to get better. Part of that improvement will come when you give feedback to myself or any of our ministry staff about how we can improve this tool. Thanks for loving the Word of God so much, and for allowing me the privilege of preaching to you!

God's Contract With Me...  His Gracious Comfort About Answered Prayer

Hey VFC family!  A number of you have asked me for a copy of “God’s Contract With Me For Meeting My Needs In Answer To Prayer”.  This is in connection with the message I preached on Luke 11:10-13.  Well, here it is:
